BATCH - take out bakery, dessert shop, and everything sweet - is owned by Chef Pichet Ong and Stuart Brill. It is located right next door to P*ONG restaurant in the heart of New York City's Greenwich Village. The menu features cookies, cupcakes, puddings, cakes, and other sweet treats, including gourmet dog biscuits.

Pichet Ong, author of The Sweet Spot, a dessert cookbook, is the critically acclaimed chef-owner of BATCH and P*ONG. A resident of Manhattan who grew up in Thailand, Hong Kong, and Singapore, Pichet is a pastry chef who is world-renowned for his ability to blur the line between the sweet and the savory. He has worked at La Folie, Olives, Jean Georges, Tabla, rm, and Chez Panisse. Notably, he served as the opening pastry chef for Jean Georges Vongerichten's 66 and Spice Market. He has also served as a consulting chef for some of the finest restaurants in New York as well as a bakery commissary in Japan. His work has earned him critical acclaim in the New York Times and appearances on shows like Iron Chef America and the Martha Stewart Show. In 2008, the James Beard Foundation nominated Pichet for the the James Beard Award in the "Outstanding Pastry Chef" category.
